Professional Experience

Mr. Touze is an electrical engineer, involved in the complete design of commercial, residential, and institutional projects. A professional involved in red line drawing, coordination with other disciplines, delegating work to the production team, overseeing, and checking final plans to assure the output of quality construction documents. Other duties have consisted of shop drawing reviews, RFI responses, construction observation reports, and any related engineering issues that may have arisen during the construction process.

 

2002 - Present – Touze Engineering Consultants Inc. - Miami, Florida

As original founder of the firm duties and responsibilities involve MEP design and coordination of all engineering related duties on projects ranging from residential high-rises, governmental, to medical, institutional, and educational facilities.  Mr. Touze is the key player in firm operations and is in charge of delegating work to respective department disciplines.

 

2001 - 2002 – JALRW, Engineering Group, Inc.  - Miami, Florida

Electrical design of commercial projects involving lighting, power, communications, and fire alarm.  Responsibilities included photometric analysis, voltage drop calculations, generator sizing calculations, and short circuit calculations.  Duties required meeting with contractors, architects, and any other party involved in the construction process. Project manager responsibilities consisted of coordinating with other disciplines to assure plan consistency, and accuracy, while meeting deadlines.  Projects included: Boston Scientific Symbiosis, (16) Broward County Schools Fire Alarm Projects, (7) Broward County Schools Multipurpose Cafeteria Building Additions, (12) Medical Office Building Tenant Fit-Outs, Miami International Airport North Terminal Expansion.

 

1999 - 2001 - McDowell Engineering Consultants, Inc.- Miami, Florida

Electrical design of commercial, and residential projects involving the input of power, lighting, communications, and fire alarm systems.  Meeting with proper authorities in order to assure accurate project coordination, supervising, and checking AutoCAD drafting to achieve final project completion within a timely manner.  Projects included:  Miami International Airport Terminal D, E, F, H Renovations, South Miami Sr. High School, Northern Trust Bank, Laserson Residence, Manhattan Bakery, Deering Bay Marina, Cayman IslandsHospital, Roney Palace Hotel, Dade County Building Department Communications Upgrades.

 

      1996 - 1999 – Naranjo + Associates, Inc.- Miami, Florida

                          Implementation, and design of all engineering disciplines (MEP) for commercial, and residential projects. Meeting with architects, owners, and contractors on job related issues, processing plans for permitting, supervising production room staff to assure work is delegated efficiently, and executed in a manner assuring the meeting of deadlines.  Projects included: Segovia Tower, 200 Ocean Drive Building, Paseos at Miracle Center, (18) Nations Banks, Wackenhut Detention Facilities in Dade, Broward, and Monroe Counties, Atlantic Hospital, Y&Y Building, Marriott Hotel Conference Center, Marriott Hotel, Barclay’s Financial Center, Everglades Farm-Worker’s Village, numerous residences, Fayze Foods, (5) Kelley’s Cajun Grilles, Talbots Retail Store, Los Ranchos, various tenant fit-outs, Seybold Building Renovations, Dick’s Last Resort, Miami Country Day School, (2) Laposs Bakeries, Martin Memorial Church, Vivra Building, Blue Moon Hotel, Baja Beach Club, Pan Am flight School, and Sonesta Beach Hotel (Aruba).
